G. GPS and Total Station Based Advanced Survey & Preparation of GIS Based Detailed Area Plan for Purbachal New Town Project (August 2002 to November 2005)

Assistant GIS Specialist

– Supervision of GPS and Total Station based advanced Physical Feature, Topographic and Landuse Survey and data processing.
– Supervision of Mauza map scanning, digitization, geo-referencing, database creation and management.
– Spatial Analysis, 3D Analysis, Network Analysis, preparation of DEM and Contour, Environmental Analysis.
– Developed GIS databases of existing Physical Feature, Topography and Landuse of the project are.
– Assist the Architect Planner to draw the proposed City Plan and prepare detailed database of the plan.

– Map scanning, digitization, geo-referencing, database creation and management of Mauza Maps and other secondary source paper maps.
– Develop GIS databases (Physical Feature, Topographic, Landuse, Mauza Maps)
– Assist the GIS Specialist for preparing DEM and Contour; and other Spatial and 3D analysis.
– Develop Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) for the Project.

– Map scanning, digitization, editing, edit plot checking, geo-referencing, joining and edge matching of survey maps. Processing and manipulation of digitized map of 64 Districts, 58 Paurashavas and 6 City Corporations of Bangladesh.
– Designing and maintaining GIS database.
– Field Survey for data collection and updating of database on the basis of collected GPS data.
– Preparation of various Map Layouts and printing as per project requirement.
– Develop Questionnaire for data collection and integrate the data with Spatial database.
