Dr M P Narayanan
President
Dr. M.P. Narayanan, a mining professional having over 40 years of experience, is recognized worldwide as a dynamic administrator and highly successful CEO handling the most challenging and difficult assignments. He turned around the Indian Coal Industry during his tenure as Chairman if Coal India and is also widely recognized for leading the saga of recovery wherein 65 miners were rescued after a massive inundation in a mine. He was named amongst the 40 most influential CEOs by Fortune and associates. Dr. Narayanan has been a leader and pioneer in the field of mapping and mapping policy working closely with the Government of India in the growth of the sector. He has also been in the fore-front of movement towards e-governance and bringing the benefits of ICT technology for the public good and thereby bridging the Digital Divide.
Sanjay Kumar
Board Member and Chief Executive Officer
Sanjay Kumar, is the Chief Executive Officer and one of the founding members of GIS Development. Mr. Kumar is involved in all aspects of company performance and is responsible for overall operations including strategy development and implementation, sales, marketing and business development, strategic alliances, client relationship management. He holds an M.Phil degree in International Studies. He was also the chair of WG VI/4 of ISPRS on Internet Resources and Distance learning. He has been associated with many geospatial organisations.
Maneesh Prasad

He is one the founding member of CSDMS[Centre for Science, Development
and Media Studies]. During his association with CSDMS as Director
[May2001-June2003], he was the lead member of the software research
group. He was instrumental in design and development of GramChitra, the
first open source GIS for handheld devices, under the prestigious Media
Lab Asia project.
Maneesh is the Founder and former CEO of Jlets Technologies
[2003-2005]. Jlets is the first Indian private organisation to have
designed and development the component based GIS software JT Maps. At
Jlets he provided some pioneering geospatial solutions in India and
abroad using in house developed JT Maps SDK.
Ravi Gupta
Board Member and Editor-in-Chief
Ravi Gupta is the Editor-in-Chief of GIS Development magazines. He completed his Ph. D from Delhi University and has M. Tech Degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur and in Applied Geophysics from IIT Roorkee. He is a Co founding Director of Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), an NGO involved in propagating the usage of information technologies in development programmes in Asia. He is also the editor of i4d, e-gov and Digital Learning magazines. He has presented and published many papers in various national & international forums.
