Abstract
Based on analyzing the problems of the Forest Resource Information Management these days, the instancy and feasibility of setting up Forest Resource Management Information System Based on Network and GIS have been explored with current techniques. Moreover this paper selects NingShan county as a typical pilot area, researches and sets up the Forest Resource Management Information System. Integrated seamlessly with the model of B/S and C/S, the system is to serve forestry department and public. The forestry special GIS is set up with Delphi based on ComGIS MapX in the B/S model, and forestry special WebGIS is set up with ASP, JavaScript and VBScript based on WebGIS MapXtreme in the B/S model. Furthermore, the paper researches the model of datum transportation in network according to the subject relation of forestry units. Finally, some advice of setting up Forest Resource Information Management System based on network is given.
