Abstract :
An investigation in utilizing the result of GPS buoy observations has been done by comparing the GPS tides and permanent station tides. The result shows a significant correlation coefficient value of 0.78. Harmonic analysis of GPS tides and Permanent Station tides has been obtained by the least square method. The results show similar values in the quantities and types of the constituents. i.e. K1, M2, M3, M4, 2MK5, M6, 3MK7, and M8, and also the closeness of the value of amplitudes and phases of each constituents.

On the other hand, spectral analysis of sea waves has also been done. The result shows that the energy density of swell is significantly dominant, which span over the range between 0.2 – 0.4 Hz.
