ABSTRACT he system capturing data of water level and quality in Mekong delta, Vietnam, comprises many gauge stations set up alongside rivers, canals and in field in Mekong delta to collect data of water level and quality by sensors. The data are transmitted to the center for processing data through provincial storing centers. Each gauge station is designed from 1 to 8 sensors to capture data of water level, pH, turbidity, temperature, salt, etc. The provincial storing center controls the time and period capturing data of gauge stations in that province and stores them before transmiting to the processing center. Each provincial restoring center collects data from each of gauge stations in turn via telephone line and send to processing center via ADSL line according to a defined period. This paper describes a system of many data provincial restoring centers each which has many 8-input gauge stations.
Key word: Mekong, data capture, GIS.
