Jena-Optronik GmbH belongs to the Photonics Business Division of the JENOPTIK AG. Jena-Optronik has an excellent international reputation in the fields of opto-electronic instruments and systems, software as well as guidance, navigation and control sensors.
Jena-Optronik is one of the pioneers of multi-spectral space cameras: The MKF 6 was a six-channel film camera operating on the MIR and Saljut Space Station. Today, the company applies modern digital imaging principles and components to build optical space borne and airborne scanners like JSS and JAS 150. In the development and production of instruments, Jena-Optronik GmbH applies its know-how and years of experience in complex aerospace and security projects. Its core areas of expertise are in the development and manufacture of opto-electronic systems from the visible to the infrared light range, as well as in data management.
