 EDITORIAL

Donald Cooke – the man behind the DIME and subsequent TIGER files, author of the very popular book – 'Fun with GPS' , a founder of three companies, a leading proponent of making government data available for public use and Prof. Michael Goodchild – A geomorphologist – discoverer of caves, Chair of the executive committee of the NCGIA and Associate Director of the Alexandria Digital Library Project and above all a great teacher will join the illustrious ranks of just five others in the URISA GIS Hall of Fame. The entire geospatial community conveys their congratulations to these great men. Prof. Edgar Horwood's legacy continues.

Google Earth- friend of the tax-man and the bane of property tax evaders. Google Earth has been used again for a search and catch operation this time by Argentinian tax authorities. I remember mentioning earlier that your shelter will draw the tax-man and now the only way to give him the slip may be by underground activities... where Google Earth cannot reach – at least not yet.

Need eye candy – take a virtual trip to Dresden, – tour operator 'Google Earth'
