A predicted growth rate of more than 14% for the Indian Geospatial Industry, says a recently conducted survey. The geospatial crystal ball says it all...A study conducted by GIS Development pegs the turnover of the Indian geospatial industry at $250 million , half of it from overseas trade. The rate of growth is more realistically around 25%. Globally, on an average, ten new remote sensing satellites every year, for the next five years... but what does it all mean? The same crystall ball also tells us that very few new players will enter the market. If this turns out to be true, it will mean that the few old, big players will just make it difficult for the young upcoming one to survive.
