GIS@development contains articles, book reviews and news related to Geographic Information Sciences (GIS), Remote Sensing and Global Positioning System (GPS) useful for GIS professionals, users as well as academicians. We desire to bring to the notice of the contributors the following points:

• Articles must not exceed 3000 words. For book reviews, the word limit is 500.
• One hard copy and one soft copy of the minuscripts should be sent, typed in 'Times New Roman', 12 font size.
• Relevant figures and photographs should be sent in JPEG/Tiff format along with a hard copy.
• Try to limit the number of figures and tables to less than 4 for one article.
• Passport size photograph/s and brief bio-data of the author/s must be enclosed with the article.
• If the article/book review is sent through e-mail, sent is as an attachment along with the above mentioned documents.
• Footnotes should be avoided.
• The Oxford English Dictionary should be followed for disputed spellings.
• In case of book reviews, mention the title, name of the author/s, name of the publisher, year of publication, price and number of pages of the book concerned. The books on Remote Sensing and GIS, published from 1998 onwards are preferable.
• The Editor reserves the right to reject, edit and adjust articles in order to conform to the magazine's format.
