    Poised to enter into Indian GIS market

    US Senate Suspends Sanctions on India, Pakistan

    Boost to GPS industry
    The US Senate has voted to suspend economic sanctions on India and Pakistan for five years but keep the ban on military and technology sales. This is a positive development as far as GPS industry is concerned as the sanction had affected it negatively.





    Infotech Enterprises Acquires Dataview Solutions

    Intends to broaden traditional CAD and GIS products Infotech Enterprises Ltd. is to buy all the outstanding common stock of Dataview Solutions Ltd., UK, which is expected to synergise their capabilities in CAD and GIS products worldwide. Infotech Enterprises is acquiring Dataview Solutions with an upfront cash payment of approximately $1.8 millions and issue of Infotech stock worth $1.8 millions over next two years., based on the earnings of Dataview for fiscal 2000-2001. The Infotech Chief Executive Officer, Mr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy said that this acquisition marked a new and important stage of growth for Infotech. This acquisition is expected to expand Infotech’s market presence in Europe. The acquisition is intended to broaden traditional CAD and GIS products and services globally.
