GPS system for motor graders
Trimble introduce the Site Vision ™ GPS system for motor graders which will help construction equipment operators increase productivity and work in a stakeless environment. The Site Vision GPS System will allow machine operators to accurately perform earthmoving operations for highway and road construction and other land development activities. This is possible as the operators are provided with a real-time graphical information for on-grade and on-line guidance. The system provides full 3-dimensional (3D) positional information for earthmoving in a stakeless environment, achieving horizontal and vertical accuracies better than 3 cms. The system includes a 36 channel, dual antenna GPS receiver, 2 GPS antennas on masts, a wireless data radio, an on-board colour display and three lightbars for guidance. Agricultural Productivity improves using GPS
Trimble recently unveiled AgGPS® Autopilot a new system that automatically steers tractors to within inches for row-crop applications. At the heart of the system is a high performance Trimble GPS navigation controller attached to which is an AgGPS 214 Real-Time Kinematic receiver, in-cab terminal, lightbar and AgGPS 70 Remote Display and Logger. The system easily connects to the tractor’s power steering hydraulic system to automatically steer it in straight rows-pass after pass. A filed computer inside the cab allows the operator to select field patterns and display operating parameters. The lightbar guides the tractor on path at the beginning of a row. Once on a row, the driver engages the AgGPS Autopilot System to perform and oversee field operations. The first generation AgGPS Autopilot system is targeted for high value row crops such as vegetables and cotton. For more details visit:
