NetMorf Forms Alliance with SignalSoft to Provide Enhanced Location Information for Mobile Applications
Partnership Extends SiteMorfer M-Logic Capabilities to Design “Killer” Mobile Applications
NetMorf, the leading mobile business (m-business) platform provider, announced today a technology alliance with SignalSoft Corporation, the platform and applications developer of Wireless Location Services®. As a mobile business platform certified in SignalSoft’s local.info™ Alliance program, SiteMorfer™ is enhanced through its ability to provide best-of-breed location services to create more robust and personalized mobile business applications.
This new partnership reinforces NetMorf’s commitment to enable its customers to create the most efficient and cutting-edge mobile applications based on its m- Logic™ capabilities. By combining the specific attributes of mobile devices with the unique characteristics of each mobile user, such as preference and location, companies can develop a highly personalized set of mobile business transactions using the SiteMorfer platform.
As part of the partnership, NetMorf customers can now utilize SignalSoft’s Wireless Location Services, a product suite that enables location-based wireless services for mobile commerce, information, billing, safety and tracking. The technology helps drive mobile business applications by transforming raw location data into revenue sources that help differentiate wireless carriers and build customer loyalty. SignalSoft’s products are network-based, interfacing with multiple location determination technologies, major network infrastructure components as well as multiple content delivery methods including WAP, SMS, IVR systems and call centers.
“In this nascent market, truly compelling mobile business applications will be those that leverage m- Logic to create a personalized, high-value channel for conducting business,” stated Michael Maggio, president and CEO of NetMorf. “Knowing where the mobile user is when they access a site to conduct a transaction, means that relevant and important information can be delivered to the end user immediately. Location information is one of the unique attributes of mobile applications which provides significant value in our m- Logic layer, and therefore we chose to partner with a best-of-breed provider like SignalSoft.”
M-Logic leverages the unique characteristics of today’s mobile devices and the specific attributes associated with a mobile user, to drive a set of highly personalized transactions that creates a new channel for organizations to interact with customers, partners and employees. For example, m-Logic would allow an enterprise-based mobile application to automatically deliver differentiated content to a user, based on their geographic location, such as meeting updates, weather, traffic delays, important changes to a nearby client account, as well as location enable brick and mortar retail shops. Other examples would include the ability to refine location searches or to deliver notification alerts based on proximity to a fixed point, based on a user’s location.
“By working with NetMorf, SignalSoft is able to combine convenience and personalization with high- powered, wireless business applications,” said Brian McNiff, vice president of Internet Services for SignalSoft. “The enterprise market is relatively untapped in terms of the types of wireless services available. NetMorf is a recognized leader in designing m-business platforms and like SignalSoft, has the breadth of experience necessary for making enterprise-based mobile applications a reality.”
