Tadpole Appoints Ketteman General Manager Of Tadpole-Cartesia
Tadpole Technology plc, the mobile computing and network infrastructure vendor (LSE-TAD), today
announced the appointment of Dr. Mark Ketteman as general manager of
Tadpole-Cartesia, its field mapping business unit.
Ketteman, previously Tadpole-Cartesia's business manager for Europe and Australasia, is now
responsible for the further development of the company in world markets.
Ketteman comments: "In the fiercely competitive energy arena, utilities
now
view the deployment of corporate information to workers in the field as
the
driving force behind much-needed change in their business processes.
Tadpole-Cartesia's edge is its ability to deliver state-of-the-art mobile
information solutions that enable utilities to make their field operations
more effective, more productive, and more responsive to customer service
calls."
A graduate from the Department of Mining Engineering at Nottingham
University, Ketteman's early career spans various technical and sales
positions with surveying, mapping, GIS and CAD vendors. Appointed business
manager for Conic Systems (acquired by Tadpole in 1999), he developed a
world-wide channel of specialist integrators for the company's core Conic
GIS product, a pen-based field data capture information system that puts a
broad range of corporate GIS and work management data into the hands of
field workers.
