One more Indian town (Vrindavan, U.P.) all set to implement an integrated GIS solution for it's municipal corporation
Vrindavan. Uttar Pradesh , INDIA
One more Indian town (Vrindavan, U.P.) all set to implement an integrated GIS solution for it's municipal corporation Vrindavan municipality by taking a major initiative is all set to implement on an integrated solution for tax collection, garbage collection & delivery to recycling plant, traffic management, etc.
In this regard a three day workshop in Vrindavan will be held to determining a range
of projects to be implemented. The project will be funded by a mix of loans and grants as part of a World known Agency initiative for 'sacred towns'. Naturally the community
of Vrindavan wishes to make the best use of funds and in so doing implement
sustainable enviro friendly schemes. By this project 99% collection of House & Water tax revenues will be achieved, Garbage Collection and delivery to a (MSW) Mixed Solid Wastes recycling plant will produce organic fertilizer.Traffic management is also on the cards. These are a few examples of core municipal earning sectors that fulfill loan requirements. To plan and manage Vrindavan accurate information is vital and thus the town requires a turnkey G.I.S solution, as do many other towns in U.P. As G.I.S. can create more income than expenses it repays loan capital and is, in the long term
sustainable.
There is a great opportunity to demonstrate to the community the power of G.I.S. and its municipal revenue enhancing potential, vis a vis 'the Mizrapur example' (another INDIAN city). They are looking for a company able to offer that turnkey solution and in the long term with that company make available to other municipalities not only
G.I.S. expertise but also that of integrated hard and software
implementation in M.S.W, Sewage & effluents (S.T.P), traffic management etc.
