Webraska and Wapamente joined hands for the Development of Mobile Location Based Services
Webraska, the worldwide provider of personal navigation software platforms and solutions for the wireless Internet and wapamente, the leading community focused ASP in Spain who owns the # 1 independent WAP portal in Spain by traffic, have signed an agreement to develop and market enhanced mobile location-based services for wireless carriers and WAP users.
Within the framework of this agreement, Wapamente will develop added value functionalities to its complete range of products: Personal Information Manager, Instant Messaging WAP and WEB, Community Generator, SMS microservices Management, and Multiplayer Games amongst others. Anywhere, anytime.
Wapamente will use the Personal Navigation Application Programming Interface (API) from Webraska, in order to add door-to-door people-to-people directions, mapping, geocoding and enhanced spatial searching based on shortest journey-time to all their applications. As Luis Fernandez-Gil, CEO of wapamente, says: ``Anyone who really cares about his/her end users must eventually enhance all his/her wireless applications with value added location based functionalities.''
