EzGov and ESRI joined hands to provide complete e-government solutions
Redlands, California-ESRI, the leader in geographic information system (GIS) and location services software, announced that EzGov, Inc., one of the country's leading e-government software providers, has signed on as an ESRI authorized business partner.
"We are excited about teaming with EzGov and developing true e-government solutions," said Christopher Thomas, ESRI state and local government industry manager. "ESRI and EzGov share the vision of making government more accessible to the public and at the same time more efficient. Integrating our technologies will bring us closer to this goal."
EzGov is an e-government technology company that builds the software and provides the services that enable government to become more efficient to better serve citizens and businesses. From the delivery of e-transactional and portal software to professional services that help government agencies define an e-government strategy, EzGov provides a comprehensive foundation for e-government.
ESRI's ArcIMS will enable EzGov to expand the suite of software services it provides by offering an interactive mapping component that will give citizens spatially referenced "smart data." ArcIMS software is the foundation for distributing GIS data and applications on the Internet.
"By providing a common platform for exchanging and sharing GIS resources, ArcIMS provides unique opportunities to leverage geographic information and analysis and to add value to applications such as e-commerce," said Thomas.
ArcIMS features an easy-to-use framework, a
multitiered and highly scalable architecture, and high-quality
cartographic rendering. The software supports Windows NT and UNIX
platforms. For more information, please visit ESRI online at www.esri.com/arcims

"The ArcIMS software complements EzGov's suite of software services tailored to meet the growing needs of local and state government," said EzGov Chairman Bryan Mundy. "This partnership allows EzGov to provide its government customers with an even more comprehensive e-government solution."
