Map Address Locator
The Map Address Locator Application is designed to help operators in Call Centres to provide quick and accurate information to potential customers over the telephone. The operator uses the Map Address Location application to find a caller using the full postcode. When the operator enters the postcode, a map immediately shows the location of the caller. The map also displays the location of all available outlets or other facilities that are closest to the caller's home. It can provide detailed information about the particular outlets such as its full business name, address and telephone number.
The Map Address Locator Application has three parts. First - it contains a postcode address management component, which accepts the full postcode and returns the geographical location of that address. Second - it contains a high quality map of Great Britain. This can be easily modified to include large-scale street level mapping of Great Britain or selected towns/regions. A user can effectively 'drill down' through the maps to find the exact location of a caller or outlet. Third - it displays the location of each outlet and it imports relevant information about a particular business from a database, including the addresses and telephone number. As much additional information as is necessary can be included to service the needs of Call Centre operators. Separate layers can be created to display alternative outlet locations e.g. Asda, Morrisons & Quick Save. These layers can be turned on and off to display chosen or all layers.
