Autodesk Announces Support for Intel New Itanium Processor
Autodesk, Inc., the world's leading design and digital content creation company, today announced its support for the new Intel® Itanium(TM) processor. Autodesk is dedicating engineering efforts to optimize future versions of its leading design platforms, including AutoCAD®, Autodesk Inventor(TM), and VISION*® software, to take advantage of the performance enhancements that Itanium will provide. In addition, Discreet(TM), a division of Autodesk and a leader in digital content creation, last January was the first to demonstrate native 3D modeling and animation on the Itanium processor with its 3d studio max® software.
