Bentley Education Network and Bentley Transportation Provide Student Scholarships for HEEP's Annual Meeting
Bentley sponsorships enable four students to present their papers at the 2000 International Highway Engineering Exchange Program meeting
Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that the Bentley Education Network (BEN) and Bentley Transportation are providing four scholarships for the Highway Engineering Exchange Program (HEEP) Student Participation Program. By sponsoring the students, BEN and Bentley are assisting with their education as well as encouraging their future participation in HEEP.
"Investing in programs such as the Highway Engineering Exchange Program is very important to Bentley," said Ray Pittman, president of Bentley Transportation. "By providing funds for such programs we are investing in our nation's future."
The HEEP Student Participation Program is designed to bring students interested in the field of transportation technology, particularly the use of information systems technology, together with educators. Each year HEEP holds a student paper competition at each of their area meetings. First-place finishers from each of the designated sites are awarded a "scholarship" to the Annual International HEEP meeting. Scholarships cover the cost of travel, registration, lodging and meals.
