BSQUARE Corporation announced that its new voice over IP software is now available for purchase. BSQUARE's new bInTouch software enables two-way real time voice communications by simply using a Pocket PC or other Windows powered device and a corporate LAN or Internet connection.
"Voice over IP has been widely accepted on the desktop, and now we are enabling the enterprise to communicate more cost-effectively with mobile workers through voice over IP software for Pocket PCs," said Denise Slocombe, business unit director of BSQUARE's Mobile and Wireless group. "Mobile workers, such as route drivers for example, can carry a single device to conduct business and communicate by voice without the need for an expensive mobile phone."
bInTouch brings the advantages of Internet calling to today's rapidly growing mobile society, creating unprecedented opportunity for wireless, Internet-based, real-time voice communications enjoyed by mobile enterprise users. By calling another CE device via a corporate Internet service provider or corporate network instead of standard land or wireless phone lines, users eliminate long distance telephone charges. bInTouch sound quality is comparable to that of a mobile phone.
The new software will be available for use on Pocket PCs and devices including web pads, industrial data collection devices, Handheld PCs, and other Windows CE-based intelligent devices.
