Informix' Business Solutions' DataStage Enables Towers Perrin to Deliver Timely and Accurate Benefits Information via the Web
Informix' Business Solutions, a soon to be formed wholly owned subsidiary of Informix® Corporation announced that Towers Perrin, one of the world's leading management and human resource consulting firms, is using DataStage® to load and maintain a scaleable data integration environment for its Benefits Administration Division. DataStage enables Towers Perrin to speed internal analytics and Web reporting efforts and deliver an integrated environment for clients to analyze their Health and Welfare, Pension, and 401K data from application systems. Towers Perrin is now able to easily maintain, measure, and track data changes impacting a client's benefit administration and will soon be able to provide clients with more timely access to their benefits information through a client-specific Web portal.
Informix' Business Solutions provides the data integration capabilities Towers Perrin needs to significantly reduce its data processing and loading time. ``DataStage enables us to quickly build a reporting solution for our clients in half the time it used to take to write custom code,'' said Tony Strano, manager, data architecture at Towers Perrin.
Towers Perrin chose DataStage to more effectively manage incoming data from disparate sources and applications, enabling the company to efficiently distribute client data internally while providing Web analytic and reporting services to its clients. Once in production, this will allow Towers Perrin clients to run ad hoc or standardized reports from the most up-to-date and reliable benefits data via the Web.
