VISTAinfo Licenses CAP Index Crime Vulnerability Data Cap; Index Data Enhances VISTAinfo's Risk Information Services For The Real Estate Industry

VISTAinfo, the leading provider of real estate information and software solutions, and CAP Index Inc., the leading provider of crime vulnerability data, today announced that VISTAinfo has licensed CAP

Index's database of neighborhood crime vulnerability data.

The data, which will be available at VISTAinfo's Web sites, www.e-risk.com and www.nearmyhome.com , provide neighborhood safety and crime vulnerability information to a broad range of interested customers, including residential and commercial real estate agents and prospective property buyers as well as insurance agents, appraisers, environmental executives, engineers, investment bankers, and legal professionals. Financial terms regarding the one-year agreement were not disclosed.

"VISTAinfo is pleased to provide CAP Index data to our customers. CAP Index's crime vulnerability data will enhance VISTAinfo's rich real estate information offerings upon which thousands of real estate professionals and buyers have come to rely," said Jerry Marani, General Manager, National Property Disclosure, VISTAinfo. "The statistical likelihood of future crime is certainly a critical consideration in determining and managing the risk involved in purchasing any property. We've found CAP Index to be the most valid and accurate source of crime data available to us and our online visitors."

Dan Kropp, CAP Index Vice President, said, "CAP Index is pleased to partner with VISTAinfo to make our unique crime vulnerability prediction solutions available over the Internet to the real estate industry. CRIMECAST(TM) information is an increasingly critical factor in helping both families and businesses make informed property purchase decisions. In addition to this readily available database information, CAP Index can also provide even more in depth, customized crime vulnerability assessments that can help property owners and their security and legal executives address risk related to potential premises liability issues."

CAP Index is the largest and most accurate predictor of crime vulnerability in the United States and Canada. CAP Index's CRIMECAST(TM) products and services are based on the strong relationship between a neighborhood's "social disorder" and the amount of crime perpetrated there. By combining surrounding social characteristics, survey information and other databases with known indicators of crime, CAP Index has provided nearmyhome.com and e-risk.com with a national database of scores detailing the risk of aggravated assault, burglary, theft, auto theft, robbery, rape, and murder for every neighborhood in the United States.
