Global Geomatics Inc. signs strategic reselling agreement with Co-ordinates Inc. of India

Global Geomatics Inc., geoenhancingTM enterprise information systems, announces a strategic Sales Agreement with Co-ordinates Inc. of New Delhi, India. Co-ordinates are well known for providing Geographic Information System solutions to clients in various vertical market segments. With the announcement of this sales agreement, Global Geomatics continues to expand its position as a multi-platform provider of spatial data access solutions worldwide.

Co-ordinates is the first reseller of Global Geomatics’ technology in India. Global Geomatics’ software components enable publication of geospatial (cartographic) information on enterprise intranets and over the internet. It’s commercial range of products allows software developers and web masters to easily deliver heterogeneous and distributed geospatial data content over a network. Global Geomatics sells its technology as a complete Geographic Information System to permit decision-makers and analyzers to approach problems in an integrated multidisciplinary way.

Global Geomatics allows data to be shared among people and organizations that have data resources in different GIS, CAD and database formats. Global Geomatics’ software architecture is based on the Open Geospatial Datastore Interface (OGDI), a client-server interface that solves all problems related to the access and distribution of geospatial data. A key feature to the OGDI is the Geographic Library Transfer Protocol (GLTP) which was specially designed for transporting geographic information with a “stateful” or "persistent" memory. Unlike Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP), GLTP allows for the processing of successive related queries or transfers of geospatial data, while retaining all knowledge of the previous transactions.
