New OEM Module Allows Design Engineers to Easily Integrate GPS Time and Frequency
TrueTime, Inc today announced the introduction of its new GPS Synchronized Time and Frequency Module, the GPS-TFM. The new time and frequency module is an ideal solution for many applications such as video synchronization, cellular frequency references, E911 Time of Arrival position determination systems, telecom synchronization systems, network quality of service measurement systems, and other applications requiring precise time and frequency.
The GPS-TFM is a versatile core product that can be custom tailored to meet specific OEM requirements. Modules can be supplied delivering a broad range of reference frequencies and timing outputs. The GPS-TFM is specifically designed for OEM applications that require a precise source of time and frequency with a simple interface, small size and low cost. The evaluation module acquires precise time and frequency from atomic clocks aboard Global Positioning Systems (GPS) satellites with 40 nanosecond time accuracy and 1 X 10(to the power of -12) frequency accuracy referenced to the world's international time standard -- Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). During satellite tracking there is no long-term frequency drift.
