Webraska and CT Motion cooperate to develop mapping and routing-enhanced mobile location services
Joint development will integrate detailed location-aware mapping and routing information with personalised mobile commerce applications
Webraska, leading provider of personal navigation, traffic information and maps on Internet mobile devices, and CT Motion Ltd., developer of leading-edge location-based services platform, have signed an agreement to develop and market enhanced mobile location-based services for wireless carriers and service providers.
The services will combine Webraska's Personal Navigation Application Programming Interface and CT Motion's CellebrityTM Services Platform. This will allow jointly-developed applications and services to offer functions such as door-to-door directions, mapping, geo-coding and enhanced spatial searching based on shortest journey-time. It will also allow seamless access via the Internet to Webraska's Global Navigation Server, a worldwide database initiative aiming to cover all street-level maps, public transportation networks and real-time traffic information.
The services offered will include CT Motion's mobile yellow pages, personal advertising and promotional coupons along with a real-time mapping facility for CT Motion's Mobile Workforce Management application. This will ensure that maps, optimised routing and real-time congestion information are sent directly to workers' mobile phones along with their daily tasks.
CT Motion's CellebrityTM Services Platform enables mobile operators and ASPs to position themselves at the forefront of the converging wireless and Internet markets. Providing an interface between the operator's cellular infrastructure, the Internet application and content providers, CellebrityTM delivers next-generation interactive services to mobile users.
