REALVIZ Introduces New Image Processing Softwares
Las Vegas Sophia Antipolis, France, REALVIZ, a leader in image-based content creation, has announced that they will be introducing a series of innovative new capabilities to their Image Processing Factory software applications: MatchMover, Stitcher and ImageModeler.
In an on-going effort to provide powerful effects and CG creation tools to a wider audience, reaching professionals and amateurs in film, broadcasting, architecture, Internet and CAD, these new features simplify and automate several key functions within MatchMover, Stitcher and ImageModeler.
REALVIZ Products:
MatchMover: Fully Automatic 3D Tracker
REALVIZ MatchMover has a fully automated 3D tracker within. The automatic 3D camera tracker detects relevant 2D features in the original sequences and turns them into accurate 3D reconstructed scene and camera moves. Track selection, 2D tracking and 3D tracking are all performed completely automatically. This unique combination of the most powerful and productive camera tracking software (MatchMover) with automated image content analysis, derived from years of research at the famous INRIA Lab in France, has produced an incredibly fast and robust production tool for digital visual effects creation.
ImageModeler:
Immersive Photo-Real 3D Environments Reconstructed From Panoramas REALVIZ introduces, "ImageModeler", which allows 3D modeling from full 360 degrees x 360 degrees panoramas. Until now, image-based modeling with ImageModeler began with flat photos, or even stitched texture maps created with Stitcher. This method is ideal for the creation of photo-realistic 3D models of human bodies and objects of any size, ranging from cellular phones, to cars and entire buildings. Creating 3D models from 360 degrees x 360 degrees panoramas now makes the job of creating various types of interiors in 3D simpler and quicker than ever before. This feature extends the use of ImageModeler to panoramic images allowing the user to import panoramic cubes, as rendered from Stitcher, and use them for modeling and texture extraction. Regular pictures can also be used, as previously, or any combination of regular pictures and panoramas. No more than two full panoramas are required in order to recreate the fully textured 3D model of a room. There is also no limitation to the number of panoramas used.
Stitcher: Automatic Stitching Capabilities with KAIDAN Panoramic Tripod Heads REALVIZ and KAIDAN will also unveil a new automatic stitching capability based on REALVIZ' Stitcher. The application is best suited to handle images acquired with panoramic tripod heads, such as the KiWi+ Spherical and QuickPan Spherical models from KAIDAN. Instead of manually placing images in the stitching viewport, the user need only define basic information on how images were acquired: number of horizontal rows, for each row, number of images and vertical angle. Based on this layout information, the program automatically places images in the stitching workspace and runs the stitching process. At the end of the automatic process, the user can proceed as in a regular Stitcher session (unstitch/restitch images if necessary, render, etc.)
Pricing & Availability
MatchMover is priced at an MSRP of $5,000 (U.S.), with limited versions starting at $2,600 (US). Stitcher is priced at an MSRP of $800 (U.S.) and ImageModeler is priced at an MSRP of $4,500 (U.S.), with limited versions starting at $2,100 (U.S)
