Pixxures' Online Storefront for Digital Map Imagery

Sacramento, Calif., April 17, Unify Corporation, a provider of extending business applications to the Web, has announced that Pixxures' customers are now able to order and receive digital mapping products, aerial photography and satellite imagery via Pixxures' new online storefront, after building its e-commerce site with Unify eWave Commerce.

Pixxures, Inc., a producer of digital mapping products, has developed an e-commerce site, with Unify eWave Commerce, to meet its business objective of making high-resolution aerial photography and satellite imagery, easily available and less expensive for people of all walks of life. Pixxures produces fast, low-cost digital map imagery collected from both planes and satellites, and delivers it to commercial and government customers via its online store, built on Unify eWave Commerce, a Java(TM)-based enterprise wide e-commerce framework. Because of Unify eWave Commerce's pre-built components, Pixxures was able to get its storefront operational in six weeks.

Based on Java, XML and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Unify eWave Commerce provides the framework for companies to build powerful B2C and B2B solutions, using pre-built components such as shopping carts, order management, payment processing and merchandise management, in less time and with lower up-front costs. The Unify eWave Commerce architecture is designed to ensure that existing business processes can be Web-enabled and integrated to support new online initiatives.
