SatAlarm-ICM system first order to American Red Cross
Golden, Colo., April 20, American Millennium Corporation, Inc., has announced that the American Red Cross, Disaster Communications division, has placed their first order for SatAlarm-ICM(TM) systems. The systems will be installed in special vehicles that provide critical communication services at disaster sites.
According to AMCI VP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Bruce R. Bacon: "SatAlarm-ICM(TM) is an end-to-end satellite-based messaging and tracking system. The user can send and receive short messages, even in very remote locations where other forms of communication are not available. It will be especially beneficial for the Disaster Communications division to track and communicate with vehicles in disaster areas anywhere regardless of any interruption of other communication infrastructures."
AMCI Chairman and Vice President of Business Development Stephen F. Watwood stated: "We are pleased that the American Red Cross selected AMCI's technology for this important application. We expect that this first order of twenty components will result in a total of over three hundred systems."
