Washington, April 20, The Wireless Communications Association (WCA) has announced that FCC Commissioner Susan Ness will be the featured speaker at a dinner launching the "Women's Wireless Network" for professional advancement within the fixed wireless broadband access industry. The initiative is part of WCA's annual show WCA 2001: Broadband Now! which runs from June 24 to 27 at Boston's World Trade Center and Seaport Hotel.
Meetings of the Women's Wireless Network will be opportunities to hear from motivational speakers and successful women in the industry and to network with for professional advancement. Attendees at the first meeting will discuss industry needs, elect officers and prioritize follow-up activities. Members will receive such benefits as peer-to-peer training and notice of job openings, thereby advancing both personal and professional growth. Those interested in these goals are invited to join.
