Inforetech Wireless Technology and Proshot Golf networks streamlines operations
Vancouver, Canada----Inforetech Wireless Technology Inc. has implemented a streamlining of operations between its Vancouver and the newly acquired Orange County, California office, beginning with a 20% reduction of staff, which is expected to result in over one million dollars in annual savings to the company.
"The consolidation of key functions and a focus on cost reductions are essential steps that need to be taken to reach profitability and increase the efficiency of our organizations," stated Robert Silzer, Inforetech Chief Executive Officer. "This strategy will not only strengthen our overall operations during 2001, but will ultimately enhance our shareholder value," Silzer added.
Last quarter, the Proshot Golf Networks Division successfully launched two additional products into the GPS Golf market: the Diamond series cart-mount (T-2000) and Inforemer hand-held pace of play solutions.
These products were unveiled last weekend at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando. "We now have the most comprehensive product offering worldwide for the GPS Golf Market," stated Iain Mclean, Inforetech Chief Operating Officer. "The merging of the two organizations combines the experience of Proshot's installation and engineering skills with the technology and trouble shooting capabilities of Inforetech Wireless. The steps we have taken improve our ability to provide excellent service for our customers while bringing the goal of profitable performance within reach in 2001," added Mclean.
