LAND INFO signs new Russian agreements
Denver, Feb. 22, LAND INFO International, LLC, a leading provider of end-to-end geospatial solutions, has negotiated two groundbreaking agreements with entities in Russia. The company signed a distribution agreement with the Russian Federation's State GIS Centre and a separate agreement with Geocentre Consulting of Moscow. The first of several new products arising from these relationships will be the Moscow City Plan, a complete vector dataset of the Russian capital. This digital dataset bundles over 15 vector data layers, including streets, buildings, hydrology, municipal districts, and transportation stations. Each layer is connected with an attribute table, detailing such data as street name, building ownership, building price per square foot. The Moscow City Plan dataset is now available from LAND INFO.
LAND INFO has been cultivating the Russian relationships for the past five years and has been maintaining a business development office in Moscow for over four years. "LAND INFO's continued dedication to our growing partnership has been tremendous," commented Vladmir Pleshkov, Director of the State GIS Centre, the Russian Federation government's official mapping arm. "It's commitment to quality and established worldwide presence create many current and future opportunities for our organization." The new agreements are the first several opportunities under discussion with the Russian organizations.
These signed agreements are the latest in a series of expansion moves by LAND INFO following its acquisition last November by the Mehta Group. The new Russian dataset complements a line of geospatial data that includes coverage in 125 countries. LAND INFO markets a full range of digital geographic data, including three-dimensional digital elevation models (DEM), satellite imagery, aerial imagery, map layers, topographic maps, flood maps, and parcel tax maps.
