Abakos merges with Sinclair Knight Merz
Abakos was formed nearly 12 years ago following a Management Buyout of a News Ltd subsidiary. It main streams are Data Conversion projects for Spatial/Asset Management systems in the transmission and distribution sector (power and water utilities) and Sale of data conversion tools, including software and hardware(scanners). These tools are developed and produced by Abakos.
Tony Wheeler, the General Manager, Spatial at Sinclair Knight Merz, said our discussions with Abakos have been ongoing for more than 12 months and the Abakos business will now be merged into the existing spatial operation of Sinclair Knight Merz. "This merger promises tremendous synergies between the two organisations with each bringing complimentary skills and client relationships," he said.
