Aeris.net and PeopleNet Communications make GPS location hourly updates possible
San Jose, Calif., Feb. 21, Aeris.net, a dominant provider of web-to-wireless, machine-to-machine communications services, and PeopleNet Communications Corp., a leader in Internet-based vehicle location and mobile communications solutions to the transportation industry today announced an agreement that will provide PeopleNet customers with hourly updates to GPS location data via Aeris.net's MicroBurst wireless telemetry network.
Aeris.net's network will provide back-end connectivity and telemetry support to PeopleNet's base of trucking customers throughout the United States and Canada. By using Aeris's data messaging infrastructure, PeopleNet's customers gain the ability to receive frequent, affordable and real-time updates on their fleets' locations.
