    Geographic Coding Plus 4.0

LANHAM, Md., Feb. 26, Group 1 Software today announced significant enhancements to its Geographic Coding Plus system, which helps companies, turn simple customer address data into practical and powerful customer information. By adding highly accurate census geography, demographic data and lifestyle data to addresses, Geographic Coding Plus offers businesses a gateway to increased customer and prospect understanding.

Group 1 has now integrated its Rooftop product into Geographic Coding Plus to provide the highest possible degree of positional accuracy. Rooftop enables businesses to assign latitude/longitude coordinates to customer addresses based on household ranges within a given ZIP+4 code. Often referred to as "ZIP+6" or "delivery point" coding, this functionality enables users to determine the physical location of customers and prospects. Businesses can use this information to direct customers to the nearest service point, enhance routing and delivery, and plan site location.

Group 1 has also integrated summary-level demographic data at the Zip Code, census tract, block group, carrier route and Zip+4 Code levels into Geographic Coding Plus. This summary-level data enhances an organization's strategic planning, marketing automation, and customer and prospect profiling and segmentation efforts. Optional marketing potential data is available at the Zip Code, census tract and block group levels. Marketing potential data is gathered from survey research and helps businesses identify customers or prospects most likely to be interested in specific goods and services, such as loans and investment opportunities, for example.

"The enhancements we've made to Geographic Coding Plus provide product users with a robust, highly accurate customer relationship marketing software solution," said Anthony Aruldoss, Geographic Coding Plus product manager.

"For the first time, businesses can optimize their target marketing efforts by obtaining pinpoint geographic and demographic data from a single source."

Businesses can now also execute interactive queries with Geographic Coding Plus, providing valuable insight into census geography as it relates to ZIP and ZIP+4 Codes. A reduced database enhances disk storage and increases processing speed. With its callable geocoding matcher and distance calculator, the product is easy to integrate with other custom business applications. Geographic Coding Plus runs on all major platforms and operating systems.
