PCI Geomatics announces new leadership appointments

Richmond Hill, Ontario - January 9, 2001: Dr. Robert Moses, President and CEO of PCI Geomatics, has announced two new leadership appointments.

Richard Nasmith has accepted the challenge of directing a new PCI Geomatics Business Development department and will be responsible for increasing corporate involvement in new areas through joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other means, as well as identifying unique avenues of expansion. This position is offered to Richard due to his record of accomplishment in new revenue generation while directing International Sales for PCI Geomatics.

Richard Nasmith graduated from Carleton University (Ontario, Canada) in Geography and Law and has worked in a variety of sales and management positions for over 15 years with Harris Corporation and 3M. Richard has played active leadership roles in sales, international marketing, and business developmen since joining PCI Geomatics in 1996. Among his many accomplishments for PCI Geomatics in recent years, Richard Nasmith has played an instrumental role in helping to double PCI Geomatics sales in the India market. PCI Geomatics believes that he has proven himself as the perfect candidate for this enterprising new role and is confident he will succeed in bringing new ventures to the company over the years to come.

Arnold Hougham has accepted the position of Vice-President of Sales and will be leading the overall worldwide sales efforts, excluding India, for PCI Geomatics.

Arnold Hougham, a Geography Masters graduate of the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada), has been with PCI Geomatics since 1989 and has been involved in product sales for over 11 years. Before joining PCI Geomatics, Arnold Hougham headed up the remote sensing image analysis function for the Provincial Government of Alberta in Canada. Following this, he traveled to the neighboring province of Saskatchewan to perform remote sensing data analysis at the Saskatchewan Research Council. At the same time, Arnold lectured geography and remote sensing courses at the University of Saskatchewan.

Arnold has been instrumental in promoting PCI Geomatics products by helping customers get the product solutions they need, while strengthening relationships with distribution channel members in North America. Arnold Hougham has been recognized by the Canadian Remote Sensing Society for partnership building in the remote sensing community. Arnold Hougham will apply his talents immediately in 2001 when overseeing the global promotion of PCI Geomatics products and furthering customer satisfaction.

"Our continued success in the geomatics market has presented many wonderful new opportunities for our organization to grow. With their new responsibilities, Richard Nasmith and Arnold Hougham will ensure that this trend continues." Dr Robert Moses, President and CEO, PCI Geomatics
