    LAND INFO Expands Sales Team

    DENVER, USA, January 4, 2001
LAND INFO International, a leading provider of international geodata solutions for the GIS/engineering marketplace, has added three executive members to its corporate team. The company named Allen Hines as Vice President of Business Development & Sales; Matthew Cross as Senior Executive Account Manager, and Vinnie Desai as Director of LI Tech Resources. The new appointments are the latest in a series of moves to expand the company's services following its acquisition last November.

Allen Hines joins LAND INFO with over 11 years industry experience in strategic planning, new business development, and account management. Hines was formerly Regional Director for ISSI Consulting Group, a firm providing geospatial and conversion services to clients in North America. Hines successfully launched multiple business lines for ISSI which significantly contributed to the company's overall growth.

Matthew Cross adds over 12 years of experience in remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to the corporate team. Cross was formerly with EarthWatch Incorporated, where he was the Technical Sales Representative for domestic and international satellite imagery sales and applications. Cross also held previous assignments with a University of Colorado research responsible for archiving and analyzing data collected in the Arctic.

Vinnie Desai brings over 35 years of international IT management experience to LAND INFO. Desai's most recent post was as CEO at Cantech Information Systems in Bangalore, India. Under Desai's management, Cantech developed software applications for major oil companies and other clients. Desai and the new unit of LI Tech Resources have built a direct channel to hundreds of highly-qualified, international professionals ready to participate in outside companies' geodata projects on a full-time or interim basis.

"The new additions will allow us to aggressively leverage an already strong sales and marketing core team," explained Mike Blakeman, LAND INFO's President and CEO. "We are now in an attractive position to fulfill more of the growing needs of our US and international clients."

In November, LAND INFO successfully completed an agreement to be acquired by the Mehta Group. Last month, the company launched LI Tech Resources, a separate business unit providing GIS technicians, CAD operators, and other IT professionals to outside companies. The company expects to announce more new services and additions to its international geographic data product lines. Over the past eight years, the company has amassed one of the world's largest digital databank of international topographic maps and digital elevation models (DEM). More recently, LAND INFO began marketing vector map layers, satellite imagery, aerial photography, vector flood maps, and a variety of complementary services.

LAND INFO International is a leading choice for international geodata solutions. The company markets high-resolution, geospatial data products for over 125 countries. LANDINFO.com, the company's website and eCommerce storefront, markets exclusive international map products at below-market prices. The company markets to engineers, government agencies, project managers, and other international professionals for a variety of GIS, remote-sensing and land-use applications.
