About ProShot Golf Inc.
In 1995, the ProShot Golf System of San Juan Capistrano, CA. was
introduced as a revolutionary GPS based distance measuring and information
system designed to provide yardage and playing tips to golfers via a cart-
mounted computer screen. This technology-based system was a result of $25
million dollars in research and development, engineering, manufacturing and
testing.
The company formed two strategic alliances; the first with Trimble
Navigation, the leading GPS hardware technology company, and the
second with Toro Company the leader in turf care products and
irrigation. These alliances brought together two diverse golf course
management arenas and reflect a shared vision in offering integrated solutions
utilizing the latest in technology for golf course management. In 1999,
ProShot acquired PinMark, which provided enhanced graphic capabilities and a
platform for color graphics.
