Win a GPS by taking "Survivor IQ Test" online

Cary, N.C, Jan. 30 - WebSportsman.com invites "Survivor" fans to take a Survival IQ, win a global positioning system and plan their own outdoor adventures online. WebSportsman.com, a leading web site for outdoor enthusiasts, today announced that fans can participate in a Survival IQ, an interactive challenge of a person's knowledge of the outdoors.

The Survival IQ features a collection of questions dealing with both effective and inventive survival strategies. Responses are immediately scored and participants are notified of their performance. Every participant is also included in the WebSportsman.com drawing for more than $1,800 in outdoor equipment, including a Global Positioning System provided by Adventure GPS.

"We've received a great deal of interest from 'Survivor' fans," said David Jeffries, senior vice president for WebSportsman.com. "The company continues to gain popularity with its Survivor IQ test, in addition to providing people with information on planning their next hiking, fishing or rafting trip and linking them up with the appropriate outfitter."

Visitors on the site can also search a powerful database of more than 5000 outfitters across North America and request additional information for planning their next outdoor adventure, whether it be fishing, hiking, rafting, camping or hunting. All outfitters are arranged by geographic location and outdoor activity.

The site also contains tips for outdoor survival and improving sporting experiences, from learning to survive a heart attack in the woods and what plants are edible in the forest to selecting the proper fishing rod and where to look for deer.
