SPOT U.S. gains distribution contract for Canada

11, 2001. RESTON, VA -- SPOT Image Corporation now holds the exclusive contract for distributing new SPOT satellite image products and services within Canada. The innovative new pricing, products and services offered in the U.S. will also now be available for the first time ever to Canadian commercial and government clients. These clients will now have a far greater range of cost-effective image-based solutions for local, regional and global projects.

"With the new contract, these users will now find it easier and less expensive to get access to SPOT's multi-source geospatial solutions."
SPOT satellite image reception will continue at the two Canadian receiving stations, located in Prince Albert and Gatineau. A new electronic delivery method being established with SPOT Image Corporation will significantly improve delivery times to Canadian customers.
SPOT creates IT/Image solutions with satellite imagery from SPOT, Landsat, ERS Radar, RADARSAT, as well as aerial photography, 3D terrain models and custom derivative geospatial products. SPOT's commercial focus is on information production and access through custom coverage, storage, serving, processing and management of global geospatial information.
