Titan Systems Corporation, AverStar Group awarded two GIS contracts

Portland, January 3, 2001 - Titan Systems Corporation, AverStar Group announced today that it has recently been awarded two GIS contracts having a combined value of $1.4 million for the update and development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) of the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the Port of Portland, Oregon.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation awarded Titan AverStar and Atlantic Technology, Huntsville, Alabama, a $1.4 million contract for the update and development of a statewide transportation database. The AverStar portion of the contract is for $1 million. This 22-month project involves updating all the transportation systems in South Carolina, developing a statewide database, and serving the data to all state partners.

The Port of Portland, Oregon, awarded Titan AverStar a $400,000 contract to develop and build an enterprise-wide GIS system.

"These latest awards reflect Titan AverStar's continued excellence in building systems centered around the integration of state-of-the-art GIS technology - which has been ongoing for more than 15 years," said Joe Saponaro, Titan AverStar's President.
