    ArcView Business Analyst 1.1a now shipping

    Redlands, California, ESRI, the world leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, has announced that ArcView Business Analyst 1.1a, ESRI's award-winning desktop GIS solution for business, is now shipping. ArcView Business Analyst 1.1a is a powerful tool for making better business decisions. It combines the full functionality of ESRI's popular ArcView GIS with intuitive data analysis tools and a robust catalog of year 2000 business, demographic, and household data for the United States.

    ArcView Business Analyst 1.1a includes:

    Data
    More than 14 million business listings for the year 2000 from infoUSA, with SIC codes and company name, address, and sales and employee information. The integration of infoUSA's proprietary database of 14 million businesses into ESRI's ArcView Business Analyst 1.1a will provide ESRI's customers with the world's most comprehensive suite of business data bundled with the leading GIS software. Using infoUSA data, customers will be able to select information on companies by industry, sales volume, geography, and many other criteria to find people for target marketing and to identify new customers and prospects.
    • Direct access from ArcView Business Analyst to Centrus Online, where users can perform customer profiling and prospecting against a national household-level database on the Internet. Users will also be able to order and download prospect mailing lists.
    • Nationwide demographic data at the block group, census tract, and ZIP Code level. Year 2000 estimates with five-year projections from a choice of Applied Geographic Solutions, Inc., or CACI Marketing Systems data.
    • Nationwide street database in ArcView StreetMap from Wessex, a division of Geographic Data Technology, Inc., that enhances TIGER 97 source data.
    • Updated geocoding database from Sagent Technology, Inc. (formerly Qualitative Marketing Software, Inc.), which includes postal updates to July 2000 and current TIGER 98 street address range information.
    Software
    • An updated ArcView StreetMap for street mapping and address matching.
    • An updated and enhanced geocoder from Sagent Technology, for accurate address standardization and batch geocoding.
    • Seagate's Crystal Reports 7.0 including report templates and easy-to-use custom reports.
    • ArcView GIS 3.2a, the world's leading desktop GIS, with many great enhancements.
    These new features and enhancements have been added to the already easy-to-use ArcView Business Analyst software as part of ESRI's commitment to providing leading- edge technology to our users, the business community, and all industries.
