Good intentions, but has this not been already done by the State Remote Sensing Centre? and also by the Survey of India? and probably also under the NSDI? Arn''t we just replicating data? We are probably heading for ''overly mapped'' - with no public access to these grand maps and no socially useful applications generated from the data?
Why not just work on google earth?

Yes ,definitely its true that limited resources developed many places need intense openness and coordination to have best fastest such type of coverage of the country. Moreover sharing informations transparentally serves better cause .
