3 November 2009
Denver, U.S.A.: Intermap Technologies licensed shaded terrain products which leverage the nationwide NEXTMap 3D mapping database to MapQuest. Intermap will also deliver shaded terrain products for Europe and the remainder of the world for subsequent releases on the MapQuest.com consumer Web site and Platform products.

The company has already created high-resolution 3D map products and solutions for all of Western Europe, and is in the final stage of creating the same products and solutions for the United States. Intermap has proactively mapped entire countries and built highly reliable national datasets, called NEXTMap, consisting of elevation data and geometric images of unprecedented uniform accuracy.
