The Nature is the Gift of God. But, Mother Nature has not adequately blessed all time. So, we need prepare for all Disaster Risk Assessment & Preparedness our personal need and development. The art of Remote sensing and GIS help to Spatial and non-spatial information is essential for critical analysis and assessment of natural hazards. This information is immensely useful for identifying process responsible for hazards, identifying natural resources and socio-economic parameters associated with these processes, emergency preparedness, and for devising appropriate mitigation measures. With the advent of GIS and satellite remote sensing technologies, generation of information relating to the earth’s surface has become easier and faster in terms of database creation, analysis, storage and retrieval. Also, the creation of computerized databases with networking facilities adds a new dimension to information dissemination and transfer. Some of the advantages include integrated analysis, implication of hazards in terms of risks and planning, Magnitude, Depth, spatial modeling, querying, map creation, simulation and visualization of hazards. Creation of GIS databases on Geology and earthquake dynamic system has been taken up using download website imagery with subsequent check. MapInfo has developed GIS software called Vertical mapper. It’s a vector/raster based GIS package consisting of spatial data bases build ground relational DBMS (Data Base Management System). It organizes geographical data using relational and topological model. The art of GIS has been the proven technology in mapping all epicenter location and variation of magnitude and depth system and also the temporal changes in the resources and environment, both due to morph tectonic and morpho dynamic process. In this paper epicenter location duing (8h October 2005 – related days Earthquake) created with MapInfo 8.0 and its modules for Kashmir in and around area presented. This paper discusses earthquake disaster information system to assist planners and relief organizations in their efforts to develop a comprehensive disaster management system for disaster prone in and around Kashmir region.
