Geographical information system (GIS) is becoming increasingly used for the sciences. GIS are computerized systems for the storage, retrieval, manipulation, analysis, and display geographically referenced data. The space information to develop a space GIS for datasets is one of the parameters to analyze and map the celestial objects at a glance. The attempt is given to create datasets of celestial objects. This paper will discuss the basics behind defining and assembling a planetary GIS projects. Discussion is also given for using GIS with solar system planetary data. Celestial objects are selected and digitized within GIS environment and topology makes to find out the relationships between objects in space. This study shows the easy accessibility for the celestial objects and query to find out the required parameters while webGIS could be used to transfer the information to the world.
