Birader DOD CIFE ICAR In the present study paper Drainage density of Jamni Basin has been estimated and mapped through GIS. Four levels of drainage density have been observed in the basin viz low , very low, moderate, and high. Both low and very low category of drainage density is dominating in the basin. It is cover 61% of the basin area. Moderate which is the next dominating area is covered 36.5% of the basin area. High drainage density is observed 2.59% of the basin area. All value of drainage density were fed in Microsoft Excel software according basin cell code number and it is linked Map Info Professional version 5.5(GIS)software to drainage density map has been prepared.Drainage density map would be usefulfor prepration of action plan for watershed development in study area.
