3 D Visualization on Multiple GIS platforms Dr. C.D. Majority of the commercially available GIS software provides tools addressing 2 D spatial problems and 3 D Visualizations. These are ARC GIS, Intergraph GeoMedia Terrain, Skyline 3 D Modeler, AutoCAD Maps 3D, ERDAS Imagine Virtual GIS, PCI GeoMatics PMAP GIS and Site Builder 3D. However, most of these systems are observed dealing with some aspects of 3 D only but not addressed the full-fledged functionalities of 3 D GIS. Hence an attempt is made to present a semi automatic methodology describing the organization and display of data captured from stereo aerial photographs (3 D environment).
