This paper is a first hand account by the project Manager of a major Enterprise wide GIS implementation in North Delhi Power Limited. The paper traces the evolution of GIS in NDPL and its applications. Special focus would be on benchmarking for software selection, functionalities, Integration with other applications and change management. The coverage of aforesaid topics would incorporate critical issues and their resolution
