Interoperability of spatial systems and spatial information is a concern for the majority of modern implementations. Integrating legacy applications and data sources can be a challenge. Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures are key enabling technologies to help this process. This session will go over the evolution of web services and their key concepts, as well as the technical challenges faced by the producers and consumers of web services. It will also present the Oracle SOA framework and show how it enables robust, interoperable and open solutions for all organisations.
