Today in applications like tracking system, national security, search and rescue of people which uses the GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS (Geographical Information System) technology, requires large geographic information storage. Maintaining the huge database of geographical information at a small storage device like embedded device is very difficult. This paper deals with how a three-tier architecture can make it possible to use GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) Technology in integration with GPS and GIS to serve the information or data on request runtime. This paper also gives the brief idea about how the positioning and communication can be made simple with three-tier-architecture. This technology reduces the limitations of contemporary systems for communication like Radio Frequency Models or Contact Sensor Model etc. in which the communication can’t be possible beyond the threshold. It also imroves the infrastructure to enhance the communication services.
